PRESS RELEASE
New Format for the Grain Producers’ Forum
discussed in Kostanay
From the comfort of five-star hotel conference rooms to the open fields — for the first time, a major forum for Kazakhstan’s grain producers will be held directly in the fields of one of the agricultural enterprises of Kostanay region.
On July 31, 2025, the International Grain Conference “Astyk 2025” will take place. Timed with the start of the new grain season 2025/26, the event will for the first time bring together more than 500 agricultural producers specializing in grains, legumes, and oilseeds, as well as those involved in the cultivation, processing, and marketing of other agricultural products.
The Grain Conference will be held as part of the International Agricultural Exhibition-Demonstration “Jańa Dala / Qarqyn ‘2025,” which will take place in a Field Day format from July 31 to August 1, 2025, on the demonstration fields of “Vostok-1” LLP and “Agrofirm Qarqyn” LLP in Stepanovka village, Mendykara district, Kostanay region.
In connection with these major regional events, a meeting of the Agribusiness Industry Council of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay Region was held in Kostanay. The meeting, attended by business representatives, state agencies, financial institutions, and the event organizer EXPO TIME, discussed a wide range of issues related to the organization of the events, participation of the regional agribusiness, and informational outreach among small and medium-sized businesses in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbek agricultural producers, represented by the Uzbek Oil and Fat Industry Association “Uzyogmoysanoat,” intend to actively participate in the “Astyk 2025” conference.
According to Adilkhan Sagimbayev, head of EXPO TIME, the main value of the grain conference lies in becoming a gathering place for direct and key actors in grain production – a hub for farms and agro-enterprises that shape the policies and rules of the grain market in the region. This can become a major driver of business contacts, including between Uzbek and Kazakhstani entrepreneurs.
It was also noted that all necessary infrastructure – from conference halls and pavilions to food courts – will be organized directly in the fields. This represents a new format for grain conferences, which have traditionally been held in five-star hotels in Astana and Almaty.
Participants of “Astyk 2025” will not only discuss market trends but also immerse themselves in the real-life atmosphere of grain production and exchange knowledge on best global practices in production, processing, and export of grain.
